The Context Window # The name comes from a technical concept. In AI, the context window is the boundary of what a model can hold in mind at once. Everything it can see, reason about, and respond to. Outside the window, nothing exists. Inside, everything does. I liked the metaphor too much to leave it to the engineers. They have enough nice things.
